Rome wasn’t built in a day.
Likewise, your home.

It is the result of constant layering.
One which is either met with opposition or support.

The construction of Rome had days of tearing down from enemies to friends turned enemies or even the foolishness of friends.
It had the days of building up and implementing plans from supporters; enemies turned friends to the foolishness of enemies.

This back and forth brought forth something that now rests on the back of deep and long history.
A history with the vision of something great.

The journey started with a little drop or a little step or a little brick.
Not knowing precisely the outcome but knowing there would be one:
Time after time, a brick is laid; sometimes, a strong wind blows it off or stays firm.
The times the drops seem to have evaporated, there is displeasure at the loss of a missing step at a great vision.
Other times when more steps seem to be taken, there is great excitement at the gain of covered ground towards a great vision.

All in all, there was a constant battle to either see the destruction or construction of Rome.
As time has passed and history will have it, Rome is built.

Standing firm for all to see, in all its glory and majesty, a powerful place to be in, loved by many, an abode to many, even garnering tourist attractions daily.
It is this way because Rome listened to the intent of those that sought its empowerment, rise and was aided to become the great city it is.

Likewise, your home in Christ wasn’t built in a day.
It is through the intent of God that he dwells in you, and you know him and, ensuring through the gospel you are his body/temple and that the opposition of the devil doesn’t prevail against you from hearing that gospel and reigning with and in Christ forever.

Amen.
